September 19 Day 8 of Construction

Work continues today on construction,but is interrupted mid afternoon by a huge Down Pour accompanied by some strong Winds.

Transport in Shisasari
Most People walk,but you can get a ride with someone on a Motorbike for 100 Shillings from Kakamega to Shisasari return. This is approximately $1.25.

Housing in Shisasari
A lot of the homes have a mud construction,which is re-inforced with sticks. Most homes do not have electricity or running water.

Anthony's Parents Home. This is also a mud contruction and has no electricity or running water inside the home.

                                     Every day Children can be seen at the work site. They seem to love having their photos taken and are keen to see the end result.

Day 8 of construction ends and we are very close to starting work on the roof.
